Defense manufacturer Leonardo has appointed Domenico Stranieri as its new vice president and head of technology and innovation.
In a LinkedIn post, Stranieri said he will join Leonardo’s Cyber & Security Solutions division, which is responsible for developing new technologies and services. As chief of the company’s innovation labs, he will lead the prototyping and testing of artificial intelligence, digital, cybersecurity and cryptocurrency products.
With almost 30 years of experience in IT consulting, Stranieri brings expertise in software engineering, cloud computing, networking, sales and marketing. He most recently served as a cloud solution architect and cybersecurity lead at Microsoft, where he helped design secure cloud and AI-powered solutions. Prior roles include stints as a territory account manager at F5 Networks, consulting sales engineer at FireEye and senior presales system engineer at Palo Alto Networks.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Stranieri is also a university lecturer in cybersecurity and engages with nonprofit organizations.
