Zero trust cybersecurity company Xage Security has named Russell McGuire its global chief revenue officer and Ashraf Daqqa its vice president for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. The new appointments affirm the Palo Alto, California-based technology company’s goal of broadening its market abroad, Xage said in a statement Monday.
Commenting on the new appointments, Xage CEO Geoffrey Mattson described McGuire and Daqqa as “seasoned leaders, experts at building teams and adept at overcoming the challenges that come with scaling in the fast-evolving cybersecurity space.” Earlier in November, the chief executive noted that the $80 million the company raised in financing deals will be invested in market expansion and research and development.
McGuire’s CRO role involves leading global sales activities to accelerate customer acquisition and expand market reach. He brings to Xage over two decades of experience in software and cybersecurity sales in several companies, including Ironscales, Infosec and Beyond Trust.
Daqqa, on the other hand, will use his cybersecurity experience as a former senior executive at Illumio, Attivo and FireEye to lead initiatives to grow Xage’s footprint in the META region.
