A QinetiQ-led team has secured a potential three-year, $195.94 million contract from the U.K. Ministry of Defence to support the delivery of new tactical communications capabilities to the British Army.
Under the Land Environment Tactical Communications and Information Systems program, Team Advance members Accenture, BMT, Eviden and Roke will work with QinetiQ to provide the MoD’s Defence Digital organization with expertise in program and project management, cost engineering, approvals, network, security and safety engineering. The group was initially awarded a $50.93 million contract, which could increase in value when the organization exercises options to extend the contract for up to two years.
The award builds on QinetiQ, BMT, Roke and Eviden’s work under the LETacCIS’ predecessor contract, where they provided technical support services.
According to James Willis, chief executive for U.K. intelligence at QinetiQ, the new contract supports the continued delivery of essential communications, allowing the U.K. armed forces to defend the country safely and securely.
