QinetiQ Australia has named Andrew Forbes as its new chief growth officer.
Forbes, who announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post, moved to QinetiQ after serving as an operational lead at Elbit Systems Emirates for a major military modernization program providing a multidomain, coalition interoperable data link. He was also in charge of a soldier and robotic autonomous system program that involved solution orientation, internal and external consensus building, capture team leadership, and bid development.
Forbes also held leadership positions at Elbit Systems Australia, including product director for command, control, communications, computers and intelligence and director of marketing and business development.
He served in the Australian Army for over 27 years as an infantry officer, a commanding officer, and head of colonel training responsible for planning, conducting and evaluating the Army’s largest annual field training exercise and designing, implementing, monitoring and refining a collective training methodology and strategy.
