Capgemini Names Paul Margetts as APAC CEO, Rob Walker as UK Lead

Capgemini has named two new members of its leadership team: Paul Margetts, CEO of the French IT and consulting firm’s Asia Pacific Strategic Business unit, and Rob Walker, managing director of its U.K. division.

Margetts, who joined Capgemini in 1992, was appointed Capgemini UK unit managing director and group executive committee member in 2018. Previously, he was CEO of Application Services UK and a member of the UK Country Board and Capgemini Saudi Arabia Board. He will start in his new role on Oct. 1.

Capgemini Group CEO Aiman Ezzat said Margetts’s track record of delivering a strong performance in the last few years at the U.K. unit will help achieve goals for the Asia-Pacific division, a key growth area for the organization.

Walker succeeds Margetts as he moves into the APAC business group.

Walker joined Capgemini from Cognizant, where he served as managing director for the U.K. and Ireland before being promoted to president of global growth markets in 2022. He has 25 years of experience supporting customers in maximizing opportunities offered by emerging technologies and digital solutions to improve business efficiency.

“[Walker is] passionate about supporting clients in driving growth through technology innovation and building high-performance teams. I know he will add great value to the U.K. business unit’s next chapter of development,” said Ezzat.
