Poland Secures Offset Commitments to Sustain GE-Powered Apache Guardian Helicopters

GE Aerospace has offered Poland with training support as part of the Ministry of National Defence’s upcoming contract to acquire 96 Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian helicopters.

Under an offset deal, GE said it will work with two local entities — Military Aviation Works and the Military University of Technology — to equip the local workforce with the necessary knowledge on maintaining and repairing all platforms powered by the T700/CT7 engine line. The GE Aerospace T7000 engine powers the Apache, as well as the Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawk and Leonardo AW149 and AW101 helicopters already on Poland’s air fleet.

The Apache Guardian helicopter is an advanced option for attack aircraft. Built for multidomain operations, it has a network-centric, fully integrated weapon system designed to dominate a complex battlefield.

The offset commitments from GE Aerospace is part of a wider agreement that also includes an offset deal with Boeing. Poland kicked off its negotiations on the Apache helicopter acquisition in 2022.
