French multinational information technology services and consulting firm Capgemini has entered a multiyear framework agreement with Sweden to provide SAP consulting services.
Under the deal, the vendor will improve the Swedish Armed Forces’ SAP system called PRIO, an operational management platform used by 25,000 individuals to manage daily activities, including finances, logistics and personnel. The collaboration aims to deliver an integrated system to enhance the military’s operational effectiveness and collaborative initiatives with partners.
Capgemini Nordics CEO Caroline Segersteen Runervik noted the company’s pride in assisting the Swedish military’s digital transformation. “We look forward to continuing our development journey together with the Swedish Armed Forces to deliver increased operational value,” she said.
The consulting firm will also deliver support services to Sweden throughout the life cycle of the SAP program.
Sweden is not the only country that has recently tapped Capgemini to support its digital transformation. In early August, the French consultancy secured a three-year deal with the United Kingdom’s Defense Science and Technology Laboratory to enhance the high-impact science and technology capabilities of the British Ministry of Defence’s executive agency.
