Germany-based defense contractor Hensoldt has announced an organizational streamlining, which calls for establishing a multi-domain solutions division integrating the capabilities of its newly acquired company, system integrator ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik. The company completed the ESG transaction in April.
The new division will merge ESG with Hensoldt’s spectrum dominance and airborne solutions divisions to serve defense customers in the land, air, naval, cyber and space domains.
Hensoldt CEO Oliver Dorre expressed confidence that the new structure will boost his company’s leadership as a platform-independent European provider of integrated defense solutions. “This evolution of our divisional structure will enable us to focus on scaling our solutions business further while also strengthening our core product portfolio,” he said.
The organizational revamp will result in four operating divisions: Multi Domain Solutions, Radar, Optronics, and Services and Training.
In addition to its current focus on maintenance, overhaul and repair, Services and Training will expand into simulation services.
Radar and Optronics will retain their focus on developing defense electronics products and driving synergies in cross-project activities. Orders for Hensoldt radars were recently booked through the company’s U.K. subsidiary, which will supply the sensors to three new Fleet Solid Support ships under construction for the British Royal Fleet Auxiliary.
