L3Harris Technologies has announced the appointment of Tiziana Cotugno as head of L3Harris Europe. She will be based in Rome to oversee the L3Harris European advisory board composed of directors and regional business leaders.
The company announced the opening of the new L3Harris office in the Italian capital as part of its European expansion to promote partnerships and cross-disciplinary innovations.
Cotugno was most recently the company’s country executive in Italy, overseeing its Italian advisory board. A Naples native with over 20 years of aerospace and defense industry experience, Cotugno joined L3Harris in 2015.
According to Dave Johnson, L3Harris International vice president, strengthening the company’s presence in Italy is vital to providing greater customer value and sustaining growth in the country and across Europe.
“Our office in Rome is strategically positioned to serve as a central hub for engaging with local partners to support our expansion across the region and within NATO,” he said in a statement.
L3Harris’ Italian footprint also includes a manufacturing and product support center in Bologna, which opened in 2023. The facility is geared for maritime products currently used in over 200 vessels of 41 navies. It also functions as a WESCAM Authorized Service Center providing advanced repair services.
