Hughes Europe is collaborating with Telespazio to deliver advanced communications solutions to government agencies and military operators in Europe.
The partnership aims to satisfy demand for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and beyond visual line of sight connectivity in the region, the company said.
Under the collaborative effort, Hughes Europe and Telespazio will offer fully managed multi-orbit satellite network solution software, an SDR waveform-agnostic ISR terminal and a secure standalone 5G solution.
The partner companies will deliver the services using the Eutelsat Konnect VHTS satellite, which employs the Hughes Jupiter system to provide European customers with high-speed connectivity.
While Hughes will contribute its expertise in satellite broadband managed services to the partnership, Telespazio will serve as the exclusive supplier of communications services to defense and government customers.
In a statement, Hughes Europe Managing Director Chris Britton noted that the Jupiter ground system is “the de facto standard for satellite implementations worldwide,” adding that the collaboration will deliver reliable connectivity solutions to European customers.
“This announcement underscores the value of our long-standing relationship and our shared commitment to providing extraordinary technology and exceptional customer service,” he said.
Troy Truman, who previously served at Elbit Systems UK, will be the point man for Hughes’ European expansion.
