Teledyne FLIR Enhances Repair Capability of Partner Service Center in Turkey

Teledyne FLIR Defense has upgraded its Turkey-based partner service center, which performs maintenance and repair services for the company’s surveillance and imaging systems.

Periter Arastirma ve Teknoloji, the U.S. company’s Turkish partner, runs the facility and supports Teledyne FLIR’s government and semi-government customers.

Stan Crawford, senior director for Teledyne FLIR’s Middle East, Central Asia and Africa operations, said the center’s enhanced capabilities will ensure timely repair of mission equipment in the region.

He noted that Periter’s service center is one of the most capable centers outside the company’s facilities.

“Upgrading Periter’s service capacity is a vital part of our global service center network strategy, providing efficient and critical mission support to customers worldwide,” Crawford stressed.

One of the more than 30 regional service centers that serve Teledyne FLIR’s international customers, Periter supports the company’s range of surveillance products, including its airborne imaging systems, handheld thermal binoculars, and imaging and targeting systems.

Teledyne FLIR Defense completed modernizing its service capability in Turkey following its introduction of Neutrino SX8-ISR 35-700, a new imaging module designed for easy integration with ISR, perimeter security, border surveillance and counter-unmanned aircraft systems operations.

The hardware features a continuous zoom lens for improved detection, recognition and identification performance.
