QinetiQ US has appointed Charles Fielden as executive vice president and general manager of the McLean, Virginia-based defense solutions company’s intelligence, cyber and information advantage department.
Shawn Purvis, QinetiQ president and CEO and a Potomac Officers Club member and Wash 100 winner, said Fielden brings in more than 25 years of experience as an Intelligence Community executive serving the commercial industry and U.S. military partners, which will be “an invaluable asset” to customers.
Fielden will lead an engineering team conducting cyber capability studies, testing and evaluating cyber solutions for U.S. military and intelligence organizations worldwide, QinetiQ said Monday.
Citing QinetiQ as an established industry leader, Fielden said he looks forward to further strengthening the company’s mission-oriented team and leveraging its collective talent to help eliminate the global threats to its partners.
Before joining QinetiQ, Fielden was the president and CEO of a Northern Virginia limited liability company offering operational planning and business development services, his LinkedIn profile shows. Before the LLC position, he was executive vice president of research, analytics and consulting firm Coverent.
