Nokia will work with India’s Sterlite Technologies Ltd to develop and deploy advanced enterprise connectivity solutions.
According to Vinish Bawa, head of enterprise and webscale business in India at Nokia, the collaborative effort will redefine enterprise connectivity in India.
“This partnership with STL is aligned with our commitment to accelerate digital transformation across industries and governments,” he said.
The Finnish company envisions the project advancing innovation, improving connectivity and allowing companies to find greater success as they start embracing modern technologies.
The combined solutions will deliver high-speed and low-latency connections for use cases such as 5G, the internet of things, augmented reality, data center interconnect, supply chain efficiency, real-time data analytics and generative artificial intelligence, Nokia said.
Specifically, the partnership will work to satisfy government customers by offering STL’s expertise in end-to-end network solutions and Nokia’s experience in deploying mission-critical networks.
The collaboration will also equip businesses with disruptive technologies, enabling them to fuel transformation and achieve a competitive advantage.
STL’s agreement with Nokia follows the former’s investment in a new manufacturing facility in the United States. Unveiled in September 2023, the South Carolina plant will produce high-capacity cables and optical connectivity products to address the surging market demand for 5G and fiber connectivity solutions.
