Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has promoted Lena Mariann Ulveraker to vice president for naval systems.
Ulveraker, previously the Kongsberg business unit’s director for naval programs, announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post.
The executive joined Kongsberg’s maritime business in January 2019 as a project manager for oil and gas delivery projects. She also held other leadership roles, including as a technical marketing manager responsible for documentation for tenders and sales procedures and as a project manager in charge of Kongsberg’s portfolio of aftermarket projects.
While employed at the company, Ulveraker supported the Research Council of Norway in evaluating research applications as an expert for research panels.
Before joining Kongsberg, she held a leadership position in a research group at the University of Oslo focused on robotics and intelligent systems.
Ulveraker earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and natural sciences and a master’s in information and computer technology from the university.
