QinetiQ Australia has named Rebecca Humble as its new chief strategy officer.
Humble confirmed her new position in a post on her LinkedIn page on Monday.
“I’m excited to announce I’ve joined the team at QinetiQ as chief strategy officer for QinetiQ Australia sector, which has a clear purpose to protect lives by serving the national interests of its customers,” she said.
Humble joins QinetiQ Australia from Sage Group, an industrial automation company based in Adelaide where she served as chief of corporate development.
She also held multiple leadership positions at engineering services and technology provider Nova Systems and BAE Systems Australia, where she spent over 14 years of her career.
In addition to her new role in QinetiQ Australia, the C-level executive currently sits as chairperson of Seymour College.
Humble has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Australia.
QinetiQ is pursuing opportunities from the AUKUS trilateral defense pact. In 2023, QinetiQ Australia secured an $8.74 million contract from the Australian Ministry of Defence to develop a high-energy laser that can destroy main battle tanks.
