Christopher Murphy Joins Ultra I&C as Programs VP, General Manager for C2I UK

Ultra Intelligence & Communications has appointed Christopher Murphy as vice president of programs and general manager of its command, control and intelligence business in the United Kingdom.

Ultra I&C offers sensing, connectivity, artificial intelligence and data fusion solutions to government customers for tracking hostile forces, strategizing and executing tactical operations, and integrating personnel, intelligence, planning and other critical data into battlefield operations, according to the company’s website. 

Murphy joined Ultra I&C after it was selected as the authorized distributor of the Orion radio family of systems to British public sector organizations, including the UK Ministry of Defence, for tactical communications.

He moved to Ultra I&C after spending more than seven years at Leonardo, where he held leadership positions, including as program head for threat sensing and warning and as head of integrated project teams focused on land-based solutions, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The executive brings to Ultra I&C over a decade of experience facilitating and executing development and manufacturing projects within the defense sector. Prior to joining Leonado, Murphy worked as a project manager at missile systems company MBDA UK and Leonardo company Selex ES.
