Professional services and technical solutions provider Precise Systems earlier this year appointed John Amsden, formerly the company’s senior vice president for strategy and growth, as chief strategic officer. Amsden took on his new role on Feb. 1, Precise Systems said.
Amsden’s former employers include Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, where he served as program manager for test and evaluation and systems engineering and integration on the CH-53K helicopter, the exact same aircraft he had flown during his time in the U.S. Marine Corps. He had retired from military service in 2005.
Amsden brings to his new role over three decades of Department of Defense aviation and government contracting experience. As CSO, he will be responsible for Precise Systems’ corporate strategy, including expanding company capabilities into new DOD and federal markets. He will also be responsible for integrating and maturing the business processes of newly acquired companies.
Precise Systems’ new CSO holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in project management from Boston University.
