Government contracting agency Aretum has named Darla Moon as chief financial officer.
In her new role, Moon will be responsible for developing and implementing financial practices and reporting for the company and its subsidiaries. She brings over 25 years of experience and expertise in financial management, operations and strategic planning, including experience with all facets of government contracting and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
Before joining Aretum , Moon served as executive vice president, CFO and treasurer at Systems Planning and Analysis, where she played a pivotal role in driving growth and profitability. Her extensive background encompasses financial reporting, merger and acquisition activities, proposal pricing strategies and team leadership.
Aretum CEO Damian DiPippa said Moon’s executive experience in financial management, mergers and acquisitions integration, strategic planning and team leadership will enable her to drive continued excellence in the company’s core finance operations.
The new Aretum CFO holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an Associate in Accounting from Northern Virginia Community College. She was awarded the WashingtonExec Chief Officer Award for CFO in 2022 and was identified as one of DCA Live’s Star CFOs in 2019. Moon was also selected as a “2012 Professional Women of the Year” by the National Association of Professional Women.
