General Dynamics Information Technology has announced a new technology strategy that involves investing in what the company described as digital accelerator solutions, namely: zero trust, automation for IT operations, multi-cloud management, software factories, 5G, and artificial intelligence and machine learning.
According to GDIT President Amy Gilliland, the investments will facilitate innovation and help customers achieve their goals.
GDIT is also working to expand its research and development labs across the country and broaden partnerships with other technology companies. Concerning the latter, GDIT recently formed a coalition whose aim is to increase government adoption of 5G, wireless technologies and edge computing. The coalition’s members include Amazon Web Services, Cisco and Dell Technologies, GDIT said.
The company also aims to give its employees more opportunities to grow, enhance their skills and move up in their careers.
Gilliland said: “This strategy marks a new and exciting phase in our evolution as a high-tech IT solutions provider.”
