Cybersecurity, software development and signals intelligence solutions provider iNovex has announced its acquisition of INNOPLEX, a high-performance software engineering and SIGINT company.

The move will improve Enlightenment Capital-backed iNovex’s presence as a middle-market technology solutions provider supporting the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense, the Columbia, Maryland-based company said

The companies combine for over $2 billion in recent prime contract awards and nearly 1,000 employees.

Commenting on the deal, Gary Daigle, CEO of iNovex, highlighted the shared values between the two companies and their commitment to innovation, while INNOPLEX CEO Phil Green said the combination of the two companies provides opportunities for the combined workforce and expands the suite of solutions offered to customers.

“INNOPLEX brings a devoted team, a culture of innovation, and a complementary set of capabilities, all of which will enhance iNovex’s ability to help solve some of the nation’s most complex national security challenges,” said Jason Rigoli, partner at Enlightenment Capital and chairman of the board at iNovex.

INNOPLEX Chief Operating Officer Chris Hawthorne will serve as president of the combined businesses.

INNOPLEX also provides SIGINT, information technology operations, cloud infrastructure and national to tactical systems engineering services to global customers.

iNovex and INNOPLEX were established in 2005 and headquartered in Columbia, Maryland.
