Engineering services firm Bowman Consulting Group has acquired professional services firm Fisher Engineering.
Established in 2007, Fisher provides fire protection and life safety engineering services. Its offerings include code consulting, life safety survey and analysis, and litigation and forensic engineering, Bowman said.
Fisher’s workforce comprises 24 professionals, including Doug Fisher, one of the firm’s founders and its principal fire protection engineer. The entire team will move over to Bowman under the acquisition.
Speaking on behalf of his personnel, Doug Fisher expressed excitement at joining Bowman Consulting and said his organization’s federal contracting experience will enhance Bowman’s ability to penetrate the federal market. Fisher also said that the combination of the two organizations will “create something far bigger and more valuable than what we have today.”
For his part, Bowman Consulting Group CEO Gary Bowman also cited Fisher Engineering’s contracting experience as a source of opportunities for his organization to expand its reach into the United States federal government. Bowman also boasted of the “great platform” Fisher developed “from which we can expand a national and international fire protection and life safety practice.”
