FLIR Defense, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies, has appointed John Bergeron as vice president and head of global services for its Surveillance business.
In his new role, Bergeron will manage and grow the company’s service business, which provides maintenance and support for advanced imaging sensors and systems used in surveillance operations on air, land, and sea.
Bergeron is a Six Sigma Blackbelt with over 20 years of experience leading global teams at companies such as Raytheon and General Electric. He most recently served as VP of product support at Raytheon Technologies. Bergeron’s management background includes work with technology-intensive systems such as imaging sensors, radar, cameras, robots and wireless communication.
JihFen Lei, executive vice president and general manager of FLIR Defense based in Billerica, Massachusetts, said Bergeron brings a solid understanding of FLIR Defense’s complex systems, their importance to customers and how to optimize resources across a globally integrated network of service centers. She added that Bergeron will expand and enhance how the company supports its customers, both through local relationships and by leveraging the resources of a global company.
FLIR Defense operates five prime service centers for its military and public safety surveillance customers worldwide, including two in the United States, one in the United Kingdom, one in Sweden and one in Dubai. It also partners with local service providers at more than 30 regional service centers around the globe.
