Technology solutions provider ManTech has appointed Mark Bortfeld as senior vice president of its Navy segment. He succeeded Red Hoover, who has retired. Bortfeld’s appointment went into effect on May 1.

A 30-year government contracting veteran, Bortfeld previously served as vice president and general manager of Navy and Marine Corps programs at Peraton.

He had also held executive positions at Perspecta, Hewlett-Packard and Electronic Data Systems, ManTech said.

In his new role, Bortfeld will report to ManTech Executive Vice President and Defense Sector General Manager David Hathaway, who said the new SVP’s prior achievements will result in growth for the company.

For his part, Bortfeld expressed excitement regarding his appointment and said he seeks to help his new company grow and generate new business.
