The iDirect Government Proxy Board has appointed Tim Winter as interim president, replacing John Ratigan as of April 3. Winter was previously the vice president of global accounts and global government and defense at iDirectGov’s parent company, ST Engineering iDirect, where he was responsible for managing strategic global account engagements and capturing pursuits for international defense opportunities. Winter also held management positions at L-3 Communications and Northrop Grumman. Before entering the industry, he was a Naval Flight Officer on active duty for eight years, flying P-3 Orion aircraft, and later served in the United States Navy Reserves, flying P-3 aircraft and the BAMS-D UAV until 2022, when he retired from the U.S. Navy with the rank of commander. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University and is a Naval Academy graduate. Winter’s predecessor, Ratigan, served as president of iDirectGov for 20 years, growing the company’s business with the U.S. Department of Defense and providing advanced satellite communications for various government users, iDirectGov said.
