Government services contractor ManTech has appointed Michael D. Ruppert as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer. In his new role, Ruppert will oversee the company’s financial, treasury and corporate development functions, which involve financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, cash management and acquisition strategy. He will report directly to CEO and President Matt Tait. Before joining ManTech, Ruppert held key positions at aerospace defense contractor Mercury Systems Inc., including executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. Tait expressed confidence in Ruppert’s ability to bring strong leadership, expertise, and insight to his new role, citing his 20 years of experience in finance for private and public companies. Mantech’s CEO also noted Ruppert’s direct experience in supporting government customers as a valuable asset for ManTech. The appointment follows the retirement of Judith L. Bjornaas, who spent more than 12 years of her career working in finance at ManTech. Tait expressed gratitude for Bjornaas’s contributions and wished her well in retirement. Ruppert’s appointment is effective immediately, and he expressed excitement about taking on his new role, ManTech said.
