Aerospace and defense engineering company Boecore has expanded its software development capabilities and specialized mission operations following the acquisition of commercial off-the-shelf software products provider Orbit Logic.
According to Boecore, the deal will bring new products to its customers across the space, missile defense, hypersonics and strategic deterrent sectors.
Greenbelt, Maryland-based Orbit Logic was founded in 2000 and provides software products and solutions for mission planning, scheduling and space situational awareness for commercial and government customers in the aerospace and geospatial intelligence sectors, the companies said in a joint press release.
Tom Dickson, president of Boecore, said the Orbit Logic team has demonstrated the ability to develop and deliver advanced software products to its space customers.
“This partnership with Orbit Logic helps Boecore expand our product and technical capabilities, and it broadens our relationships and mission expertise within the space domain,” Dickson added.
The addition of Orbit Logic’s product suite and team of software developers and engineers puts Boecore in a good position “to continue providing its customers with the critical solutions they need to advance and maintain space superiority,” said Thomas Young, principal at Enlightenment Capital.
Enlightenment Capital acquired Boecore in January 2022.
G Squared served as Orbit Logic’s exclusive financial adviser in the deal.
