Food distribution services provider Valiant has received a $530 million single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity follow-on contract from the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support. Under the contract, Valiant will provide full-line food distribution services to land-based U.S. Navy, Army, and Air Force military establishments, embassy locations and U.S. Navy vessels in the Southern Arab Nations and Nations of East Africa region. The company will continue to support customers in 26 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Djibouti, Kenya and Oman, and will now provide services to U.S. military customers in Somalia. Pete Capwell, Valiant’s SVP and general manager of mission support, said, “This award expands Valiant’s position as a leading provider of food distribution services across CENTCOM and AFRICOM.” The company has provided procurement, warehousing and food distribution services to the program since 2017 and delivered critical support to U.S. military forces in a complex geopolitical environment, Valiant said.
