Craig Abod, Carahsoft President, Inducted Into 2018 Wash100 for Advancing Federal IT Services

Executive Mosaic is honored to introduce Craig Abod, president of Carahsoft Technology, as an inductee into the 2018 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena–for his work on improving information technology services for federal agencies and government customers.

Abod founded Carahsoft in 2004 and since then, has led the company that works to provide information technology platforms and services to at least 3,000 prime contractors, systems integrators, value added resellers and other channel partners.

Carahsoft was named in August to The Channel Company’s 2017 top 500 list of IT consultants, technology integrators and service providers in North America based on revenue and strategies.

Abod said then that the company is honored to be recognized as a top platforms provider for the 12th consecutive year.

A month after that, Bloomberg Government named Carahsoft to the top 200 list of federal IT vendors based on the value of fiscal 2016 unclassified, prime contracts awarded by U.S. agencies.

“Our inclusion on the BGOV200 list for the sixth consecutive year highlights our growth and leadership in the federal market,” Abod said.

Carahsoft agreed with Seagate in June to serve as a public sector distributor of the latter’s self-encrypting drives designed to help clients address security risks and comply with regulatory mandates.

In October, the General Services Administration awarded Carahsoft a new Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation Tools special item number to the company’s spot on the GSA IT Schedule 70.

Craig noted then that the company is pleased to bring its portfolio of cybersecurity platforms to the new CDM Tools SIN in support of federal agencies’ efforts to purchase and field network security tools.

“This SIN makes the procurement process easier and faster for government buyers who need the solutions and the technology vendors and resellers who supply them,” he added.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Craig Abod and the Carahsoft team for their selection to receive this award.
