Executive Mosaic is glad to announce Navy Vice Adm. Jan Tighe, director of naval intelligence, as an inductee into the 2017 Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of the government contracting arena’s most influential voices.

The 32-year Navy veteran officially started her new assignment in July 2016 and also added the title of deputy chief of naval operations for information warfare at a ceremony to formally succeed the now-retired Vice Adm. Ted “Twig” Branch.

Prior to her current roles, Tighe served as commander of the U.S. Navy 10th Fleet and Fleet Cyber Command.

Navy organizations distributed information as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October via articles, graphics, social media and videos to help educate and inform the service branch’s personnel and partners on computer security issues.

“In my role as Navy cybersecurity director, I am on the hunt every day for capabilities that reduce the risk of cyber warfare disrupting maritime operations,” said Tighe.

“The point of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, is to ensure that every member of our workforce understands their role in mitigating cyber threats.”

Tighe’s career includes staff assignments with Headquarters of the Pacific Fleet, National Security Agency, Central Security Service Hawaii, Naval Security Group, U.S. Cyber Command and Naval Network Warfare Command.

Tighe serves as a member of the Acquisition Professionals Community and has a Level III Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act certification in program management.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Jan Tighe for her selection to receive this award.
