Devin Nunes, House Intelligence Committee Chairman, Named to 2017 Wash100 for Cyber Inquiry & Info Sharing Bill Leadership

Executive Mosaic is pleased to announce House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) as an inductee into the 2017 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena.

The seven-term Republican congressman represents California’s 22nd district in the House and provides oversight of the intelligence community’s activities in his chairman role on the lower chamber’s intelligence committee.

He pushed for the passage of the Cybersecurity Act of 2015 to boost security threat sharing between federal agencies and private companies as well as the intelligence authorization bills for the government’s 2016 and 2017 fiscal years.

The House Intelligence Committee launched an inquiry in late 2016 to investigate reported Russian cyber intrusions that were meant to influence U.S. election results.

At that time, Nunes asked the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to work with the FBI and CIA to produce a coordinated IC assessment of the Russia-linked election hacks.

In a January interview on CNBC’s”Power Lunch” program, he said a Republican-drafted tax plan seeks to help increase job growth rates and export activities of U.S. companies.

“We want to have business taxes completely revamped in this country because we want to encourage people to invest in the economy so that jobs can be created,” Nunes added.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Devin Nunes for his selection to receive this award.
