Alan Marc Smith, DLT CEO, Inducted Into 2017 Wash100 for Cyber & Analytics Industry Teaming Leadership

Posted by Jane Edwards on February 9, 2017 in Wash100 | 594 Views

Executive Mosaic is honored to introduce Alan Marc Smith, president and CEO of DLT Solutions, as an inductee into the 2017 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena.

Smith, a 25-year software and technology industry veteran, also serves as a member of the board of directors of the Herndon, Va.-based government information technology platform provider.

DLT and Intel Security teamed up in March 2016 to establish a cybersecurity lab at the DLT Innovation Center and work together to provide cybersecurity services to federal agencies.

“The federal government is projecting to spend $19B in the coming year to address cybersecurity requirements,” Smith said at that time.

He added that DLT aims to leverage company partnerships and customer relations to maintain a portfolio of platforms to help meet clients’ technology requirements.

In that same month, DLT also partnered with Sqrrl to provide an analytics-based threat detection and response platform — Sqrrl Enterprise — to government agencies.

“Recent cyber incidents teach us that advanced cyber adversaries will be able to defeat static perimeter defenses, and government agencies need to supplement their traditional detection tools,” Smith said.

Prior to DLT, he served as CEO of display technology products provider Electrograph Systems for nearly five years.

Smith also held the role of chief executive at data center and security platforms distributor Westcon Group for more than seven years.

He also worked at Oracle as director of contracts and as head of business management group at Bay Networks.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Alan Marc Smith and the DLT Solutions team for their selection to receive this award.
