Executive Mosaic is pleased to introduce Tim Mahoney, president and CEO of Honeywell‘s aerospace segment, as an inductee into the 2016 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena.
He oversees a business segment of the global industrial conglomerate that covers defense and space, general aviation and air transport sectors.
The aerospace segment recorded $15.6 billion in revenue during 2015 to show an approximate 2 percent increase from the prior year period and represent nearly 38 percent of Honeywell’s overall sales.
Honeywell agreed to purchase space hardware producer Com Dev International in November 2015 for approximately $345 million in an effort to expand its portfolio of space and connectivity platforms.
“COM DEV is a terrific fit for Honeywell, growing our existing space and connectivity businesses and expanding our global reach to new international customers,” Mahoney said of the transaction.
The company also received a potential four-year, $805 million contract from the Navy in August to install C4ISR systems on surface ships and submarines.
Before he became CEO of the aerospace segment, Mahoney served as chief technology officer for the company and was responsible for product development, engineering and research and development initiatives.
Mahoney is also a former president of Honeywell’s business and general aviation business and held the same title for the air transport and regional unit.
He is a three-decade aerospace industry veteran who previously worked at Sikorsky Aircraft, where he held a variety of leadership roles for 18 years.
Executive Mosaic congratulates Tim Mahoney and the Honeywell team for their selection to receive this award.
