Executive Mosaic is honored to introduce Susan Lawrence, a senior vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, as an inductee into the 2016 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena.

Lawrence joined Booz Allen in February 2014 and oversees its defense group’s business initiatives in the C4ISR, enterprise information technology, joint information environment, integrated mission systems, emerging defense technology and cyber markets.

Prior to Booz Allen, she managed the U.S. Army‘s information technology operations as chief information officer from 2011 until her retirement from military service in 2013 with the rank of lieutenant general.

The 41-year Army veteran also helped to establish the Army Cyber Command and collaborated with other senior officials to manage technology costs and performance at the branch.

Before she became the Army CIO, she led the Network Enterprise Technology Command.

Lawrence supported domestic and international missions of the Army and also supervised IT, network and C4 functions during U.S. military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.
