Executive Mosaic is honored to introduce Susan Penfield, an executive vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, as an inductee into the 2016 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena.
Penfield oversees efforts of the company’s strategic innovation group to develop technologies in the data science, digital and predictive intelligence areas as well as the firm’s crowd-sourcing, development operations and open source architecture portfolio.
In an August 2015 guest piece for ExecutiveBiz, she highlighted Booz Allen’s move to embrace a culture of innovation through its encouragement of collaboration among its employees worldwide.
“Collaborative and reciprocal partnerships will supplement organizational processes and a strong, well-maintained network of external inputs will enable clients to fail, adapt, and learn faster,” she wrote.
The company also implemented an Internet of Things “build-and-field’ program that Penfield has said aims to increase workforce productivity and effectiveness.
Prior to her current role, Penfield oversaw the firm’s health business that works with government agencies to help them adopt and manage health information technology tools.
She also supports women’s and childhood health and veteran reintegration programs.
Executive Mosaic congratulates Susan Penfield and the Booz Allen Hamilton team for their selection to receive this award.
