Executive Mosaic is honored to introduce U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Alan Lynn, director of the Defense Information Systems Agency, as an inductee into the 2016 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena.
Lynn was named DISA director in July 2015 and also serves as commander of Joint Force Headquarters – DoD Information Networks .
At a conference held in November 2015, he said that DISA aims to achieve “100 percent identity assurance” with its contractors as part of the agency’s efforts to protect networks from cyber threats.
“We can’t do business without industry, but everyone has to be held accountable for their actions on our networks,” Lynn said at the event.
He also noted that DISA plans to expand partnership with the private sector to promote innovation and establish an infrastructure designed to be resilient from attacks caused by network threat actors.
“We need that innovation to help us find and develop better commercial solutions for defending our infrastructure,” he added.
Lynn is a former chief of staff and vice director at DISA and has previously served in the Army‘s signal, communications, and network operations organizations.
Executive Mosaic congratulates Lt. Gen. Alan Lynn and the DISA team for their selection to receive this award.
