Wendy-Masiello-New-HqExecutive Mosaic is honored to introduce U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Wendy Masiello, director of the Defense Contract Management Agency, as the newest inductee into the Wash100 — a group of influential leaders in the government contracting arena.

The 35-year Air Force veteran leads a team of nearly 12,000 civilian and military personnel that manages contracts for more than 20,000 Defense Department contractors.

Masiello started her assignment as DCMA director in May 2014 after three years as deputy assistant secretary for contracting in the Air Force’s Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisition.

In December 2014, she announced DCMA would form a resource team to monitor the consistency of commercial pricing in military procurement activities and provide guidance to contracting offices.

“[The] goal for standing up this capability is to help facilitate a consistent thought process about what commercial pricing really is, where it fits, and how we handle the one-offs like commercial-of-a-type,” Masiello said then.

She also received the Public Sector Partner of the Year award from the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and Professional Services Council in 2014.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Wendy Masiello and the Defense Contract Management Agency for their selection to receive this award.
