Executive Mosaic is glad to announce Mike Kahn, a senior vice president at ATK and defense group president, as the newest inductee into the Wash100 — a group of influential leaders in the government contracting industry.

The 17-year ATK veteran leads a business unit that provides ammunition, weapons, propulsion/control systems and missile warning systems to defense customers and also carries out defense facility management and modernization services.

ATK’s defense group is one of two groups that will merge with Orbital Sciences in a transaction scheduled to complete Feb. 9 that will create a company known as “Orbital ATK.”

He is a former president of ATK’s missile products group, executive EVP of the aerospace systems group and the EVP and general manager for the launch systems business.

Kahn has worked with NASA and customers from the military and commercial sectors on solid and liquid propulsion technologies.
