Executive Mosaic is glad to unveil Michele Flournoy, co-founder and CEO of the Center for a New American Security, as the newest inductee into the Wash100 — a group of influential leaders in the government contracting industry.
CNAS is a nonpartisan organization founded in 2007 that researches defense and national security policies.
Flournoy has served as defense undersecretary for policy from 2009 to 2012 and oversaw the development of the 2012 Strategic Guidance of the Defense Department.
She has held other roles at DoD and was reportedly a candidate to succeed the departing Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel before she announced her withdrawal.
Flournoy is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Defense Policy Board and the board of directors at Mitre; as well as a senior adviser to the Boston Consulting Group.
Executive Mosaic congratulates Michele Flournoy and the CNAS team for their selection to receive this award.
