Teresa-CarlsonExecutive Mosaic is glad to announce Teresa Carlson, vice president of the worldwide public sector at Amazon Web Services, as the newest member of the Wash100 — a group of influential leaders in the government contracting industry.

Carlson oversees strategy, operations, sales and business development functions for AWS’ cloud computing services to government agencies, educational institutions and nonprofit organizations.

In early 2014, the Defense Department granted AWS approval to expand its cloud services to more defense agencies under impact levels one and two within the department’s cloud security model.

“More than 600 government agencies use AWS services,” Carlson said at the time.

She joined AWS from Microsoft, where she held various roles such as VP of the software maker’s federal government business and general manager of the company’s business with U.S. civilian agencies and nongovernmental organizations.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Teresa Carlson and the AWS team for their selection to receive this award.
