Brad EskindExecutive Mosaic is honored to announce Brad Eskind, leader of Deloitte’s federal technology practice, as the newest inductee into the Wash 100, the premier group of leaders who create value and execute strategic vision at the intersection of the public and private sectors.

The more than 25-year technology and management veteran joined Deloitte from the public sector segment at BearingPoint where he served as senior vice president.

deloitteIn addition to serving as Deloitte’s Federal Analytics Champion and Federal IBM Alliance Champion across all of Deloitte’s functions, Eskind leads more than 2,500 technology professionals that focus on areas including federal agencies’ transformation projects from beginning strategy to final implementation.

In a Deloitte study on driving federal missions via data analysis, Eskind noted that “given the Obama administration’s goal to reduce the federal deficit by $2.4 trillion over the next decade, federal agencies are searching arduously for ways to trim waste and maximize their current budgets.”

He added that “data analysis can help agencies get more value out of their existing data, by revealing under-performing programs or fraud, waste and abuse.”

“Security tops the list in mobile discussions within the federal technology community—and for good reason,” he would note in a Tech Trends report he authored.

“In the past, agencies largely addressed security by limiting functionality in voice, data, and applications.”

After spending 16 years with IBM, Eskind founded a company and served as its chief executive as it grew to more than 1,200 employees and was acquired in 1997.

Eskind graduated top of his class from the MBA Program at Vanderbilt University’s Owen School.

Executive Mosaic extends its congratulations to Brad and the rest of the Deloitte organization on the honor.
