william brownExecutive Mosaic is proud to unveil William Brown, Harris Corp. president and chief executive as the latest inductee into the Wash100, the premier group of leaders who drive growth and innovation at the intersection of the public and private sectors.

He joined Harris as CEO in 2011 after serving as senior vice president of  corporate strategy and development at United Technologies Corp. where he was responsible for global strategic planning and M&A activity.

Prior to his SVP role, Brown was president of UTC’s fire and security division where he grew sales from $4.2 billion to $6.5 billion.

Before joining UTC in 1997, Brown was a senior engagement manager for McKinsey & Company.

“I want us to grow market share, outperform peers, continue to exceed internal and external expectations, and be recognized across a broad spectrum of companies as a premier developer of talent,” Brown said in an interview.

“I joined Harris knowing that it was a terrific company with dedicated employees and a solid future. My experiences since then have reconfirmed my first impressions about the company. The environment that we operate in has changed during that time, and the company is now in the midst of a multi-year transition to adapt,” he added.

Executive Mosaic extends its congratulations to William Brown and the rest of the Harris organization.
