MarketsandMarkets: Data Center Net Sector to Hit $21B By 2018

Posted by Ross Wilkers on October 23, 2013 in News | 37 Views

New research from MarketsandMarkets projects a two-digit growth to occur for the global data center networks market over the next five years.

Data center networking, grouped by product type, end-user environment, industry and geographic location, will be worth $21.85 billion by 2018 and be spurred by demand for mobile devices and cloud services, MarketsandMarkets said Tuesday.

That total figure is predicted to be up from $12.49 billion in 2013 and represent a compound annual growth rate of 11.8 percent.

MarketsandMarkets predicts the Asia-Pacific region will have the highest spending amount for the period and North America will be the largest market by geographic territory.
